If you are in a area with good cover you can flank him with rocket boots. A few close shots send him into critical. This is especially useful If he has attacked some one else with plant.

take out the turrets. nearly all good Barik players use the card that lets them gain healing from there turrets

Torvald vs Ruckus
use cover to get close and then use runic blast, shield recharge(if his shields are up), lock on attack(until he starts shield melting you). then move to other targets and into cover

Grohk vs Bomb King
Use the totem legendary to give your green circle cc immunity. Deploy to heal and hop inside when the grumpy bomb is near you. Grumpy bomb does little damage so the totem essentially negates it.
