You should put a mine at your current position or at a point where you know he MUST come around. As you hear your mine you have 2 choices: 1.you kill him 2.you use your teleport to get away I would recommend to teleport to/near your team.

Do not use your Nether Step when you know you are near flank targets, as the ability is quite loud.

if you encounter a pip 1v1 go back to your team as pips can be sneaky as hell and its most likely you wont be able to kill him given his heals and jumps, but if you wanna kill him buy cauterize and mark him the moment you see him
